Hudson Valley Wood Carvers St. Paul's beautiful baptismal font was hand carved for us by members of the Hudson Valley Wood Carvers. The Wood Carvers meet on the first (3) three Mondays of each month from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, in the Parish Hall of St. Paul's.
Their mission: Our club will strive to preserve, practice, perpetuate and propagate the art of woodcarving. We will utilize our unique talents to help others learn woodcarving as we also improve our own skills. Our meeting and workshops will be a forum of learning, teaching, and social interaction. We will participate in community activities and put on displays to further our contact with the community. Our legacy will be that the art of woodcarving in the Hudson valley will be preserved because of our club.
The minimum age is 11 years of age and the individual must be accompanied by parent or guardian for the first 3 workshops of safety orientation/evaluation.
Northern Praying Mantis "Learning the Way - through the Art" meets in the parish hall three mornings a week. Contact Sifu James Moretti [email protected]

English as Another Language (ESL) This is a free program in collaboration with Grace Church, Millbrook. Our generous ESL volunteer teachers help students from the local community become more comfortable using the English language. There are posters throughout the community inviting anyone to enroll and attend at no cost. Childcare is also free and available during class time. The program is temporarily on hold due to COVID.
We have had as many as seven students and six children in the nursery on some evenings. Our students come from all over the world. Their homelands are duly noted; Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Uzbekistan and Morocco. This program began at St. Paul's in 2014 and provides a vital service to our community. Evelyn Garzetta, the program director, is responsible for all the ESL locations in Northeastern Dutchess County, started by Grace Latino Outreach in Millbrook, NY.
